Heart-rate training, done properly.
Train by the number that’s actually yours. Live heart rate from a chest strap or your watch, zones set from your own tests, a morning verdict built on your own baselines — and a coach that plans around what you actually did.

Eight things. In the order they matter.
The first three nobody else has. The next three are why you keep it. The last two: it works with your stuff.
Bike, rower, SkiErg, treadmill — connect each as its block arrives, and Mode keeps a distance ledger per machine that carries across legs, so the bike at the end resumes where the bike at the start left off. Splits are timed on the machine’s own clock. Apple Health receives one workout with a labelled leg per activity, not five fragments.

Tap to start means Mode knows how long you took between blocks — and your heart rate while you took it. Results show every transition, the average and best, and a verdict: steady, faster as you went, or slowing with a heart rate that never came down. It’s the part of the race nobody else measures.

Run a workout again and Mode finds the last time you did it — no tagging, it recognises the structure — and tells you what changed: transitions −0:08, +0.4 km, pace, heart rate. The coach gets the same facts and says whether that was fitness or fatigue.

Write intervals the way they’re prescribed: “run 400 m, rest 1:1 of whatever that took”. A Distance block ends when the metres are covered — from the machine, your pod or the watch. A rest by ratio sizes itself from the effort before it. No converting to minutes.

Sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, and your WHOOP or Oura score if you have one — read against your own baselines, never population averages. GO, CAUTION or NO-GO, 0–100, every deduction itemised. When the data isn’t there it says “not enough data” instead of inventing a number.

Eight runs, eight stations at your division’s weights, every run, station and transition timed and compared with your last one. Save it to your library, schedule it monthly or quarterly, or press Start.

Any Bluetooth heart-rate strap (Polar, Garmin, Wahoo), Apple Watch as a second source, Concept2 PM5 rower and SkiErg, Assault AirBike and AssaultRunner, Rogue Echo Bike, Technogym Skill line, any FTMS treadmill, bike or rower. Cadence on a treadmill comes from your strap, not the belt. Hold-zone alarms and cues that still sound with the phone in your pocket.

Paste a coach’s message, upload a spreadsheet, screenshot a whiteboard — Mode turns it into runnable blocks and tells you what it had to fix. Share any workout as a link; the person who opens it sees the session, not a signup wall.
